hello hello

O.M.G i seriously need to stop depriving you of my love, when i firrst started blogging i couldnt stop and now ive really got my hands into my project im not reflecting as much on here and its a cross over in my sketchbook..... Now i most definetly know how Tavi Gevinson feels when she says she hasnt blogged for a few days but then again she makes money from hers she can get away with it people go back for more...

So time to love you again and i think it all started going down hill after i lost the A on my keyboard which is now totally dead i mean finito gone picked off removed and lost in the hoover last night... anyways how r u?? Im here to reflect on a few things but mainly my tutorial and seminar today, was a quick one but have a few questions we have been asked to address so i will write my initial thoughts on it and then before it needs to be answered fully i will write again later in the week (AND I WILL OK I WILL WRITE AGAIN)


SOOoOoO... tutorial was quick it was a catch up as i missed last week but i feel positive after it as i recieved good feedback as well as areas of improvement. I think i find it hard to except that the work at this stage has to have a purpose when i want my work to be more like art and when i need to start making money in the future then i will think more along the lines of purpose and use for what i am making. I think thats where the difference with being an artist and being a designer draws the line well for me. An artist creates work that ok is to be sold and can be created on mass but they push the boundaries as its not so much about money and designers have to think about how they are going to sell their garments and the mass audience for their collection. Thats where i am a textile artist and not a textile designer but the line is very thin.

The seminar threw some questions back and forth about the idea of design and the definition of design and we had to choose an artist that we felt reflected our project the best. I then at this point realised ive looked at textile movements and not at any specific welsh artists so i think that will be important to do tomorrow... i feel like there is a lot i need to do tomorrow so im writing my to do list here so i can reflect on it tomorrow and think more about discussions that have come up. Need to photocopy and use the printers in uni first thing tomorrow i tried to today but they were full alllll day.

1. write and print survey for people not in wales
2. print pictures and emails for sketchbook
3. reflect on cardiff flower show and write scrap notes in neat
4. start reflecting and answering seminar question in sketchbook
5. in development sketchbook write about welsh wool as fashion etc..

theres a lot to do in the next 2 and a half week this includes mking my last final piece it must all be done starting to worry me now but going to write surveys now get my stuff ready and try to be in bed by 11.30pm so in an hour (yes the time of these blogs is wrong) and up early for uni..
