want to start my samples book this weekend gonna make a list of techniques etc that i want to try. For this fmp i want to look at hands on techniques such as embroidery knitting etc and combine them all and try different materials. Took out 6 books yesterday in camberwell library and gonna go to lcf this weekend to see if they have any interesting books on techniques for textile artists

block printing and stamping-worked into with beads and threads
woven wheels, spider webs, woven picots, raised fishbone stitch, raised chain band
weaving
applique
ribbon embroidery
possibly look at dying techniques

i want to fill a whole little sketchbooks full of different stitches techniques etc that i can use and develop

will be looking at exploring textile art and decoration on fabric by pauline brown
